2008 Environmental Solution Center
The Environmental Solutions Center at the Golf
Industry Show in Orlando demonstrated how golf facilities
can effectively communicate their environmental benefits to
(or within) their communities. “On the course”
education was presented in conjunction with highlights from
the GCSAA’s Golf Course Environmental Profile surveys,
research products, EDGE resources, and other educational information
superintendents can use at their course to develop education
programs, respond to environmental questions, and enhance
their outreach and communication efforts. |

"The golf industry needs specific
environmental baseline information about the state of
golf courses in order to develop programs and services
to enhance environmental stewardship efforts. The pesticide
use data will help us respond to governmental inquiries
and answer the public’s questions. It is crucial
that we have your participation in this project."
